Mad or angry at blanket?

I came across this video the other day on YouTube and thought it was both cute and informative. Chihuahuas are fear aggressive. In spite of what most people think, they do know their size. Yes, they definitely have big personalities, but they know they are small.

When I say that they are fear aggressive, it means that they react to fear with aggression. The reason they do is to frighten away what they percieves as a threat. They will bark, growl, show their teeth, whatever it takes to scare away the threat away.

It is so important to expose your Chihuahua to all kinds of different kinds of objects, people, and situations that they may encounter in their lifetime so they can learn that they don’t have to be afraid of it.

Obviously, you can’t always know exactly what may scare them. As in the case of this video. This little Chi is showing what I mean. He apparently hasn’t encountered this particular blanket before. Or maybe it’s in a different place than he is used to seeing it.

Watch and see what I mean.
